Day 1: Charming villages & winery visit

Welcome in the Loire Valley to begin your wine escape! Arrive in Saumur wine region by your own arrangements to enjoy your immersion in the Loire Valley.

Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring picturesque villages such as Candes Saint Martin and Montsoreau, both located on the Loire river bank, with pretty little streets, beautiful houses and with the magnificient Montsoreau castle. A great way to immerse yourself in the Loire Valley.

Lunch at leisure.

This afternoon, as a good welcome in this beautiful wine region, enjoy a tour and wine tasting at a superb winery close to your accommodation in Saumur wine appellation.

You will get the chance to visit the cellar and enjoy a wine tasting. The modern wine estate and cellar design are beautiful and the terrace offers a unique panoramic view. A nice way to start your wine trip in the Loire!

Later, check-in your hotel.

Arrive in a charming domaine, former farm of the famous Fontevraud abbey. This historic and family own elegant private domaine, warmly welcome you for a relaxing stay with an indoor swimming pool and a spa.

In the evening, enjoy a homemade dinner in the family restaurant.

Day 2 : Royal abbey & medieval town

In the morning, drive to Fontevraud charming village.
Enjoy a tour of the Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn more about the history of this unique site housing the tombs of Henry 2nd, Eleanor of Aquitaine and Richard the Lionheart.
Lunch at leisure.
In the aternoon, drive a few kilometres away to Chinon medieval town. Wander through the picturesque streets and alleys up to the fortress where you will discover a panoramic view over the Vienne river and the town.
Relaxing evening in the Spa and indoor swimming pool of your hotel.

Day 3: Saumur town and vintage bike winery visit

On your final day in the Loire Valley, drive to Saumur.
For your final day here, we invite you to visit one of the famous sparkling wine house in Saumur. A unique and fun visit to discover the underground cave with a vintage bike. You will cycle in the huge gallery and get to know more about the wine making process.
The visit will be followed by a wine tasting.
Before going back home, stop in the town centre and wander through the charming streets and alleys. If you go up to the Castle you will get the chance to enjoy a fantastic view over the Loire river and the little town.
